Maui, Hawaii [Day 1]
I know this is old, but I wanted to share it.

~Aloha Maui~
We flew to one of the Hawaiian Islands. It was Maui, to be exact. My family flew there on Aloha Airlines with the rest of the TIG employees. TIG s my mom’s company name. My mom was elected employee of the year in her area. When we arrived, mom, dad, Anna, and I, rode a bus to the Grand Wailea Resort, hotel and spa. The hotel was amazing!! There were white fountains, hula statues, bubbling spas, and so much more luxury goods. We stepped into the line to the check-in counter and waited. Anna and I started taking pictures with my mom’s camera to pas the time. A while later, my mom came to us with some good news and bad news. The bad news was that the hotel staff couldn't’t find us a room and we’d have to wait till the afternoon. The good news was we could play in the pool while we waited. We unzipped our luggage to get our swimsuits and sprinted to the bathroom to change. My dad was waiting for us near the pool. I counted all of the pools I could see from my view. I bet I could count five or six. I thought, what I’m counting is from my view only; there must be more from another perspective. I was right. Totally, there were seven or eight pools. The pool Anna and I were about jump in was the volcano pool. This pool was one of the small pools. In the middle was an artificial volcano about seven feet in height. It spurted out water about for five minutes and stop for one minute in between each spurt. We played for a long time. The day was finally over, and we finally received a room. At night, we had a feast with the other TIG members. It was total paradise! That was only my fist day.
Maui, Hawaii [Day 2]
~Evening Luau~
On Thursday, we had a Hawaiian Luau. It included a performance about the Hawaiian people living on the islands and a fire dance at the end. During the day, we jumped into another pool and played there for the full day. At night we ate with everyone else. A buffet was set up, and people stood in line for dinner. During the dances before the fire dance, a small stand was set up and drinks were served. There was juice, alcoholic drinks, water, and soda. Anna and I drank pineapple juice. My mom wanted to try a white milky substance; thinking it was juice, she drank a whole cup. She was wrong. It wasn't pure coconut juice, it was actually coconut wine... my mom's face started to get all pink (tomato face).
Maui, Hawaii [Day 3]
~Lahaina Mall Shopping~
On Friday, my family and I went to a Hawaiian shopping mall called the Lahaina Shopping Center. For lunch my family strode into a restaurant for fish and chips. My mom bought us a cup of shaved ice because it was really hot. The evening came, and cooled us down. At the evening, the whole of TIG stepped onto a boat called “The Spirit of Lahaina.” There, we ate a nice dinner. After dinner, everyone was allowed to get up and explore the boat. The boat assistant reminded us to look for whales and sea turtles. I used the video recorder to record most of the whales that we had seen. I think we saw about eight or nine. No sea turtles were seen until the next day.
Maui, Hawaii [Day 4]
~Snorkeling and Scuba Diving~
Saturday was the best of all days. We took another boat to the Island of Molokini, a tiny island considered Maui property, to snorkel and scuba dive. Only people over the age of eight could scuba dive, and others could snorkel. I went scuba diving and Dad snorkeled with Anna. Mom stayed on the boat. She wasn’t the type of person that liked getting wet or jumping into death cold water. Scuba diving was so fun. You didn’t have to worry about running out of air, or drowning because at the surface of the water, each pair of people were connected to a cord to the raft and an air tank supported the couples’ breathing. Whenever I tried to touch any of the coral, sudden coldness pierced my skin and pressure gushed around my body. After group one (my group) finished snorkeling, group two (the next group) slid into the water. I climbed aboard a flopped down onto a bench. The sun-heated bench replenished my body heat and I felt comfortable once more. Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep. I started to get dressed at sunset. The boat assistant told us on a megaphone to look for sea turtles. She bellowed out that they look like brown speed bumps. It was time for the boat to head toward out hotel. Almost time for the farewell dinner. Tomorrow we would leave this heavenly island and welcoming islanders. We had several different courses. There was the appetizer: bread and margarine. And the main course: lobster, catch of the day, steak, or sea chicken. Drinks were refilled at the end of each course. The best of all, dessert. Dessert was on a porcelain plate. On the plate was a delicate chocolate flower cup filled halfway with fruity pudding. At the sides were artistic lines of décor. In a glass goblet was ice cream with a beautifully designed piece of pure sugar. We ate it all and sat slumped down on our chair with bellies full and eyelids begging for sleep. To our room back we went, took a shower, watched a little television, and slept.

~Departure~
The airplane would leave at two in the afternoon, so we still had time to say farewell to Maui. By saying farewell, we swam again in the pools and slid the connecting water slides. Mom stood at our balcony to videotape. Each water slide connected from a small pool to another small pool. On one of the slides, Anna came down and accidentally kicked me in the face. I got a bloody nose and Dad called me up to lie of the lawn chair. After a moment, my nose stopped bleeding.I stepped back into the cool, refreshing water and floated to another water slide that connected to another pool with a jacuzzi in it. After being in the freezing water, the hot water seemed like liquid fire on our skin. Because if the sudden change in water temperature that burned my skin, I hopped back into the cold water. Pool, jacuzzi, pool, jacuzzi, cold, hot, cold, hot. It starteed getting boring so we power walked to the 8' deep tarzan pool. From an area higher than the pool we swing sown from a rope and crashed into the surface of the pool. Some other dudes did flips right before entering the water. Mom came down from our room to take pictures. The beach pool was next. It was a pool with artificial man made sand covering the bottom. Water spurted up from filters and made small sand fountains underwater. We had to get out....because it was time to leave. We scurried gack to our hotel room, got dressed and packed, and went outside. Everyone had to be there by 12:00. The flight left at 1:00.

New Friends on the Block
A new family moved in my street. They have a little girl and a little boy. The girl is about three years old and her name is Bella. The cat that wanders around in my neighborhood belongs to them. The cat's name is MeowMeow. It is a male with dark and light orange stripes. For half the day, Anna and I played with MeowMeow and Cooper, a long haired medium sized dog. Cooper kind of looks like a more mature Popollian.
