On Monday, June 16, 2008, Alina came to my house and dropped off her hamster. She was going on vacation to Malaysia and Hong Kong! Hero, her hamster, was to stay at my house from June 16th to July 20th. She left for Asia on July 18th. Hero is so cute! He is very energetic and loves to be around people. His birthday is in this September, where he will be turning one year old. Hero is really fuzzy and squishable (though I did not squish him). My sister, Anna, and I set up barriers of tables and thick posterboard to create an enclosed area where Hero would be free to run off of human hands and into tunnels, under newspaper, and over cardboard hills. Hero is awesome!
